Une commande de la ville de Saint-Herblain (France, 2025-2026)

Beaux Regards est une enquête artistique autour de la future démolition de l'école Beauregard (Saint-Herblain) et de la notion de deuil urbain.

L'école Beauregard, conçue dans les années 70 selon un principe pionnier d'architecture ouverte a été pour des générations un lieu de rencontres et de vie collective.

Avant qu'elle ne disparaisse, ce projet cherche à préserver ce qu'aucune archive ne peut contenir : le patrimoine émotionnel d'un lieu, construit à partir des mémoires et des sensibilités de ceux qui l'ont traversé.

MÉTHODE

L'enquête-prétexte part d'une question simple :

Pourquoi l'école s'appelle Beauregard ?

Ce prétexte m'a permis d'aller à la rencontre d'enseignants, de parents, de voisins et d'élus pour récolter leurs récits, leurs photos, leurs cartes.

LES ATELIERS

L’enquête a impliqué la participation des écoliers. J'ai donc conçu des ateliers avec les enfants : invités à devenir agents secrets de l'Agence des Mémoires Cachées, ils ont produit un corpus imaginaire de leur école - leur vision, leurs secrets - qui viendra se mêler aux archives collectées.
